FIA Action for Road Safety in Neste Oil Rally Finland

The national sporting authority of Finnish automobile sports, AKK-Motorsport, passes on important message by presenting the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign in Neste Oil Rally Finland with its partners Neste Oil, Michelin, Derbi and Liikenneturva.

More considerate driving, safer vehicles and traffic where common rules are followed. FIA´s road safety campaign, FIA Action for FIA Action for Road Safety (McKlein).jpgRoad Safety, started in 2006, aims to ensure that the UN´s goal for saving five million lives from traffic accidents by year 2020 is reached.

Road safety events of Neste Oil Rally Finland bring together WRC´s most experienced drivers alongside with next generation stars. FIA Action for Road Safety themed truck will be displaying the themes of the campaign during the rally at Jyväskylä Paviljonki Rally HQ and Service Park Area with guests like former F1 driver Mika Salo.

On 2 August WRC Drivers Meet the Kids event will take place at Jyväskylä Paviljonki where WRC and WRC Academy drivers meet children in a junior driving school. The same day in Lahti Harbour, there will be a slow driving moped competition where the youth will compete with future stars of the track racing group of AKK-Motorsport´s elite coaching group, AKK Driver Academy. Drivers of AKK Driver Academy will also show their skills on two wheels in several show runs.

- 2.8. WRC Drivers Meet the Kids, Jyväskylä Paviljonki at 10.00-11.00
- 2.8. Moped competition and show runs, Lahti Harbour at 11.00-16.00
- 3.8. FIA Action for Road Safety Truck with guest star Mika Salo and Aaro Vainio, Jyväskylä Paviljonki at 16.00
