FLASH INFO

Friday 3 August
SS9 Mökkiperä 2 11.38 km

Conditions on the stage: More grey clouds and there might be some rain later. It´s also cooler now. Safety car comment: ´The road is very clean and the times should be quicker this time around. There are not as much stones on the road as we expected.´

1 Sébastien Loeb/Daniel Elena (Citroen DS3 WRC)
´The car is good but the stage is starting to be rough. There are big stones in the ruts. It throws the car and that´s difficult.´

2 Mikko Hirvonen/Jarmo Lehtinen (Citroen DS3 WRC)
Hirvonen set the fastest time on SS9. ´A good stage. We have to start attacking to catch Loeb. I´ll have to be careful with a couple of places in Palsankylä.´

3 Jari-Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´I was happy with the car but the road was not in good condition. I attacked too much in the rutted places. I have confidence in the car now but I have to concentrate on keeping it in the ruts.´

4 Petter Solberg/Chris Patterson (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´It´s a long rally to go and I just have to keep on pushing.´

5 Ott Tänak/Kuldar Sikk (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´I´d like to go fast but I don´t have the proper speed - not perfect.´

7 Chris Atkinson/Stephane Prevot (Citroen DS3 WRC)
The right front wheel is loose and hanging out of the bodywork; it´s leaning on the front edge of the co-driver´s door. The wheel is still attached to the suspension. ´There was a rock in the middle of the road and it has broken the wheel.´

8 Thierry Neuville/Nicolas Gilsoul (Citroen DS3 WRC)
´We had a really good stage. At the end I couldn´t hear the pacenotes since there was noise in the car. We have to do something about that.´

10 Mads Östberg/Jonas Andersson (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´I was very surprised in some places. I rolled here in 2008 so I was far too careful. It´s difficult to keep on pushing but I am a little disappointed at myself.´

12 Armindo Araújo/Miguel Ramalho (Mini John Cooper Works WRC)
´More ruts but also a cleaner road.´

15 Martin Prokop/Zdenek Hruza (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´Completely different driving - I see the lines now. Still a lot of stones.´

17 Jari Ketomaa/Mika Stenberg (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´There was something wrong with the coil but it was OK now because the car was working now. The biggest problem was with digesting the sausage I just had.´

18 Matti Rantanen/Mikko Lukka (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´I made a few mistakes. It´s hard to say how Ketomaa is coming but I think he´s faster. We hit a stone lightly at the second last junction.´

20 Sebastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia (Skoda Fabia S2000)
´It´s a bit tricky now.´

21 Andreas Mikkelsen/Ola Floene (Skoda Fabia S2000)
´It was better than I expected. We raised the height but it was not a perfect run.´

32 Craig Breen/Paul Nagle (Ford Fiesta S2000)
´A beautiful feeling with the car - I´m speechless. A beautiful rally.´

33 Per-Gunnar Andersson/Emil Axelsson (Proton Satria Neo S2000)
´I can´t keep the same pace as the other cars.´

34 Juha Salo/Marko Salminen (Proton Satria Neo S2000)
´It was quite rough but OK. No problems.´

43 Ken Block/Alex Gelsomino (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)
´A bit more fun since I can trust my notes now. A bit more rough, too.´

49 Esapekka Lappi/Janne Ferm (Ford Fiesta S2000)
´The power steering is broken and I don´t have the strength to turn the car. We hit something and that was it.´

53 Riku Tahko/Markus Soininen (Mini John Cooper Works WRC)
Tahko had sweat on his forehead. ´A lot of stones but we made a good time. We hit something with our front right.´ No puncture but there was some slight damage to the rim.
