SS21 MYHINPÄÄ 1
15.06kms

A lot of spectators in this stage which is one of the most popular in the rally. This stage was last used in 1994 and is famous because part of the road is classed a 'museum road´ as it has a lot of history dating back to the classic days of rallying in the 1960s and 1970s. Over 3kms of parked cars near the end of this stage, indicating its popularity with the spectators.

3: Mikko Hirvonen/Jarmo Lehtinen
"I drove part of this stage in a Group N Opel back in 1998, but that was the last time! This was a classic stage, really good fun."

1: Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena
"Nearly over. I am looking both in front and behind me now trying to keep my position."

2: Dani Sordo/Marc Marti
"We now think Jari-Matti has too much of a gap and the only way I can catch him is if has a problem."

4: Jari-Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila
"It was a little bit more exciting than at any other stage in the rally. There are many jumps but the car suspension is so good and so stiff that you can´t fly so much any more."

10: Matti Rantanen/Mikko Lukka
"We had a problem with our notes in there and went off the road and lost a bit of time."

16: Jari Ketomaa/Mika Stenberg
"This is a nice stage but parts of it were quite slippy. I enjoy it the most though in this whole rally."

5: Matthew Wilson/Scott Martin
"I have nothing to fight today so we are running at our own pace. SS20 was my favourite but this stage was just mental!"

8: Conrad Rautenbach/Daniel Barrit
"That was awesome, and I would like more like that. It is a pity we are not fighting as that stage is where you need to get the line totally right."

9: Federico Villagra/Jorge Perez Companc
"We are taking it easy today, just a drive to the finish."

6: Henning Solberg/Cato Menkerud
"There is a big vibration on the right front tyre this morning which we don´t understand. We are not pushing anyway so will just drive to the finish under SupeRally."

66: Juho Hanninen/Mikko Markkula
"We should try and push more but there is not so much in the way of competition and we have a healthy lead so we drive to stay in position."

68: Patrik Flodin/Maria Andersson
"We are cruising now. The stage was very difficult: so many blind crests, and it´s hard to understand the road. You can´t see where the road goes and you just have to trust your notes. It´s so much like Ouninpohja."

38: Martin Prokop/Jan Tomanek
"That was an incredible stage. I tried to enjoy it, but I have to think about driving at safe speed. All weekend I´ve been thinking about the Junior Championship."

71: Jouni Arolainen/Risto Pietilainen
You must be one of the very few co-drivers who were here in 1995? Pietiläinen: "That´s true but I don´t remember it..."

32: Michal Kosciuszko/Maciek Szczepaniak
"We are trying to avoid problems and taking no risks. I want a podium position and to keep my 2nd place in the Juniors. If Martin wins here, it´ll be impossible for me to take 1st place in J-WRC."

31: Aaron Nicolai Burkart/Michael Kolbach
"After yesterday´s problems we checked everything at the service. Now the car feels like my car again. You really need to trust your pacenotes here."

79: Reijo Muhonen/Timo Maenpaa
The driver reported: "The engine is down on power. We´ve got only about 60 % left. I don´t know why."

62: Jon Williams/George Gwynn
"Our intercom stopped working about one km into the stage. We had to shout and we lost about 20 seconds, but we fixed it for SS21. We are the only Pirelli Star car still running so it´s important for us to finish."

39: Mark Wallenwein/Stefan Kopczyk
"We are now just driving carefully to stay on the road. A bracket on our cylinder head is broken. If we jump and land heavily, there´s a danger that the engine will break so no jumps for us. We want to finish because we can get some points here."

33: Simone Bertolotti/Luca Celestini
"I made a small mistake and we slid off the road into a ditch. It was easy to drive out from there and we only lost a few seconds."

97: Craig Breen/Gareth Roberts
""Wow!" That stage didn´t look so bad in recce but at rally speeds it was a totally different experience."

99: Jussi Kumpumaki/Mikael Korhonen
"We are really trying here and have only just gained here what we lost in the last stage (3secs). It has been a good fight."

117: Patrik Ottosson/Stefan Ottosson
"We are driving carefully with no problems on the stages. Today we are looking at the corners before we accelerate!"

101: Burcu Cetinkaya/Cicek Guney
"We are setting better times now and I have got my confidence back in the car."

111: Kari Hytonen/Ismo Pietilainen
"Now it is just a drive to the finish. It has been a really nice rally but yesterday in Surkee we broke our sump guard and we could only repair it with chemical metal glue and it is still holding up!"

118: Raimo Kaisanlahti/Tapani Pulkkinen
"There are some strange electrical problems with the car and we keep stalling, so the car is not nice to drive."

107: Fabrizio de Sanctis/Sergio Biancolli
"I have been competing here for the last 24 years so I guess I am the oldest driver on the event. This year has been a particularly good year."

113: Mikael Wikstedt/Hannu Rokkanen
"We are driving carefully to the finish. No more jumps for us because the next heavy landing will damage the front xcmopeltely."

123: Adrian Linton/Jonathan Linton
"Very loose through SS20 and we overshot a junction and lost some time. A lot of jumps here but we keep our speed down and want to get to the finish."
