FLASH INFO
SS17 URRIA
12.75kms
Blue sky, a few clouds and hot temperatures. Reports from safety cars shows a lot of spectators on this stage. The rain has helped keep the dust down. Road surface is good with a nice (or nasty?) jump awaiting the approaching crews.
3: Mikko Hirvonen/Jarmo Lehtinen
"That was fantastic. I love this stage. It was a little bit slippy but a really nice drive. We have taken five seconds off last year´s record."
1: Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena
"At the moment it is OK, no problem. We are taking it carefully to keep in position."
2: Dani Sordo/Marc Marti
"That was really nice and fast and I drove it well."
4: Jari-Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila
"There´s not a lot in it. I haven´t driven this stage for a long time but I´m more familiar with the next two stages. I jumped wide and hit a bank when I landed. Anyway I´m much happier though and am still holding off Dani Sordo."
10: Matti Rantanen/Mikko Lukka
"I am trying to keep a good rhythm in the car because I lost it at the start of the day but now it is OK again."
14: Mads Ostberg/Jonas Andersson
"Not a lot of time between sixth and eight place. We have had a problem with the front suspension and are trying to sort it out."
16: Jari Ketomaa/Mika Stenberg
"We try to catch the guys in front but I felt that there was no power in the first section but I couldn´t go any faster."
12: Sebastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia
"I was too careful in there but it´s OK. I am looking forward to the next stage."
5: Matthew Wilson/Scott Martin
"For that jump in there if you took is anywhere remotely close to flat you´d be in big trouble. A classic Finland stage - loved it! The number of spectators out there is in incredible."
8: Conrad Rautenbach/Daniel Barrit
"I was cautious through there and didn´t want to take any risks on the jumps. I feel slightly better this afternoon in terms of my confidence."
15: Khalid Al Qassimi/Michael Orr
"The surface is a little bit loose in there but it´s enjoyable to drive."
9: Federico Villagra/Jorge Perez Companc
"We haven´t made any changes to the set-up and are driving well."
66: Juho Hanninen/Mikko Markkula
"It was OK, a very nice stage in there. There were a few places I was too slow in but OK, not so bad. A very nice stage!"
67: Anton Alen/Timo Alanne
"We stalled the car in the third or fourth corner and it just went wide and we had no grip. It took a few seconds to restart."
70: Kimi Raikkonen/Kaj Lindstrom
"We cannot do anything about our engine problems. The handling is OK now, but we don´t have enough power. It is a shame, as it would have been nice to have had a bit more speed."
68: Patrik Flodin/Maria Andersson
"That was absolutely flat out without any problems and yet the time was absolutely rubbish. I don´t know what the matter is."
38: Martin Prokop/Jan Tomanek
"This was a much better stage for me and I enjoyed that one."
59: Kalle Pinomaki/Matti Kaskinen
"We are pushing quite hard now. I know this stage very well and it´s a lot of fun."
31: Aaron Nicolai Burkart/Michael Kolbach
"Not so good. We were too wide and had too much oversteer in places which was a bit scary actually. Maybe it´s because of the surface or something, I don´t know."
32: Michal Kosciuszko/Maciek Szczepaniak
"That was an OK drive. It is the first time today we do that stage and the time is not too bad. I need to catch Aaron (Burkart) and we´re about 2s behind third position at the moment."
